Forming vowel sounds requires the shape and position of our tongue, lips and jaw. Our child will benefit when we not only teach him the short ‘a’ says, /a/, but teach him to make that sound. Your child will have fun using a mirror to watch his lips, tongue and jaw change position while making each of the 5 short vowel sounds.
